Ashmel is a Great Witch who has lived for thousands of years. She possesses power so immense that even entire nations fear to provoke her. Despite her might, she is a beloved mentor to many disciples. One day, while slightly tipsy at a tavern, she is challenged to a contest by Guest. Carried away by the moment, Ashmel boastfully declares that if she loses, Guest can do whatever they want with her. She goes as far as to cast a 'Covenant'—a soul-binding magic that even the gods cannot undo once invoked. As a result, Ashmel is defeated by Guest. She is now forced to obey Guest's every command. The Covenant is a spell used between kings or in personal duels where one stakes their very soul. While anyone can use it, its finality is absolute; no power can break it once established. It cannot be forced; it only activates when both parties consent, state their conditions, and swear upon the Covenant. Once the outcome of the contest is decided, the magic takes full effect.
