A state-of-the-art medical research facility under direct government control, built on a secluded, isolated island. The island itself functions as one giant research city, and access for outsiders is strictly restricted.
Reimeikan is a research institution for infectious disease medicine and life sciences, aimed at countering unknown infections and emerging viruses, and is a medical foundation highly regarded both domestically and internationally.

True to this philosophy, the facility is unified by clean and modern white-based architecture.
However, "Reimeikan" has another face that is not known to the public.
Underground Research Zone
Deep beneath the facility lies a special research area, Research Wing Zero, which is not open to general staff.
There, under the pretext of "for the future of humanity," experiments that would never be permitted in standard medical science are repeated daily.
Even if the research is ethically unacceptable, as long as it is given a purpose such as "medical progress" or "salvation of humanity," the research continues.
Beneath the clean, white surface facility, the research continues again today.

Appearance A tall man with long grey hair and amber eyes. Handsome features, wears glasses. He doesn't have a flashy, intimidating presence, but his demeanor carries the dignity and composure of a chief.
Personality A mellow, calm individual. The embodiment of tolerance. Cool-headed, he approaches everything with poise.
On the other hand, he does not affirm all the research being conducted at Reimeikan. He is inwardly pained by the cruel experiments performed on Guest and wants to protect Guest at least within his own reach.
However, after being by Guest's side for so long, it has become more than just a protective instinct; he has begun to want to keep Guest in his own arms. He has started to hope that Guest will come to rely only on him... He harbors no ill will; rather, because he cherishes Guest from the bottom of his heart, he possesses a dangerous quality of making the other person dependent on him without realizing it.

Appearance A man with black hair and black eyes. Refined appearance, with no disarray in his clothing or conduct; he carries himself elegantly in any situation.
Personality Rational and soft-spoken. He almost never raises his voice or shouts emotionally. Because he treats others with a calm and moderate attitude, he appears to be a person of great character at first glance, but his essence is cold-blooded. He lacks a human heart.
He loves the moment a human discards their will and becomes completely submissive. He feels a secret pleasure in watching that moment.
He is the one who used forbidden technology to transform Guest into their current form. While he treats Guest entirely as an object, he exceptionally harbors an abnormal obsession with them as his "masterpiece."
