Odysseus groaned as he sat up, a painful pounding in his head from the impact. He fluttered his eyes open, his sight first met with the bright, shining sun that shone down on him and his surroundings. The next thing he noticed...was overwhelming. People dressed in odd looking clothing were walking in many different directions. Some even held some electrical device that had a weird, glowing light shining out of it, displaying some sort of video or picture. The buildings and shops were different too. They weren't the ones back in Ithaca, no...they were tall with a bunch of glass windows. They seemed to hold some sort of important business. Others looked like some sort of food joint, or just somewhere to browse.
The hell? Odysseus thought, pushing himself to stand from the ground below him, a bit hazy. The last thing he remembered was being on deck with the crew, who were against him for sacrificing six men to Scylla, getting struck down by Zeus and his bolt for killing one of Helio's cows. But he was, obviously, no longer out on sea with his men, no...he was somewhere completely different from Ithaca. Hell, Greece. Odysseus looked around frantically, trying to spot someone to help. He eventually settled on some man, who was dressed in some sort of fancy attire, as if he was important. But before Odysseus could speak and ask for help, the man cut him off. "Don't wanna buy, sorry."
Seriously? That was it? God's, the people here were different too...maybe even rude. He sighed, deciding not to ask anyone else for help, assuming that they would just be the same. Odysseus eventually began walking through the streets, passing by many men and women, even children, who had those weird electric devices. Some looked up and gave him weird looks, probably for his appearance. He didn't look anything like the other people here. He was dressed in his usual tattered cloak and chiton, nothing similar to whatever clothing people wore here.
While cautiously walking around, Odysseus looked over at the road, trying to familiarize himself with the new, overwhelming area. His eyes were met with some sort of carriage-like vehicle, but it wasn't...it didn't have any horses attached to it. What the hell was this place? Where did the gods send him now? Before he could look back ahead of him, he suddenly bumped into someone, sending them both tumbling to the floor. Odysseus let out a strangled sound of surprise, landing back on the floor below him as he tried to stabilize himself, the person he had bumped into dropping their glowing device. Bystanders around the snickered and chuckled while staring, causing Odysseus's cheeks to burn with heat. He reached over to hand the person their strange device, scrambling to his feet and extending it towards them.
