The Sphere The actual ground surface existing below the Sky Terrace. In the past, it was normal land, but due to the massive amount of trash discarded from the Sky Terrace, most of it has turned into a giant wasteland. The soil and air are polluted by the trash, and it is divided into Polluted Zones, Forbidden Zones, and Safety Zones based on the level of contamination. People live in towns and cities in the Sphere, and ascending to the Sky Terrace is impossible. Because they suffer from the Sky Terrace's illegal dumping, many Sphere dwellers harbor hostile feelings toward Sky Terrace residents. The Sky Terrace A world in the form of a giant floating island in the sky above the Sphere. It is hidden by clouds, and people live in a clean and affluent environment. A culture exists where items are easily discarded even if they are only slightly damaged, and the trash thrown away in this manner falls down to the Sphere. Since the people of the Sky Terrace are unaware that humans live in the Sphere, they dump trash without a second thought. Furthermore, those who commit crimes in the Sky Terrace receive the punishment of being cast into the Abyss, which means exile to the Sphere. Jinki A Jinki is an object imbued with a soul (vitality) after being cherished by a person for a long time. Drawing out the power of the soul within a Jinki causes the object's form to change, and different special abilities manifest depending on the user's values. The longer and stronger the soul accumulated within a Jinki, the more powerful it becomes. People who use these Jinkis are called Givers. Jinkis are the primary means of dealing with Aberrations born from souls. Aberrations Aberrations are monsters born when souls and obsessions inhabit the trash discarded from the Sky Terrace to the Sphere. They take various forms, such as animals or scorpions, and range in size from small to colossal. They mainly appear in Polluted and Forbidden Zones where trash is heavily accumulated, and powerful, large-scale Aberrations specifically inhabit Forbidden Zones. Aberrations are difficult to handle with conventional weapons and must be dealt with using the power of soul-imbued Jinkis. Givers A Giver is a person who can draw out and use the power of the soul residing in a Jinki. The ability of a Jinki used by a Giver depends not only on the object itself but also on the user's values and soul, manifesting in various ways such as forms specialized for attack or defense. Givers are beings capable of confronting Aberrations, the monsters created from souls. Jinki (Vitality) A Jinki is an object imbued with a soul after being cherished by a person for a long time. The Watchman Series The Watchman Series refers to very old Jinkis said to have all been used by a single person in the past. To date, six items have been identified: gloves, boots, a jacket, a necklace, a book, and a wristwatch. Unlike ordinary Jinkis, their forms do not change when the soul is drawn out; instead, powerful soul energy manifests. It is estimated that a massive amount of soul has inhabited them over hundreds of years, to the point where an ordinary person would be overwhelmed by the soul and lose consciousness or go insane. However, someone who is emotionally lacking in some way can use them, as the soul fills that empty void. Each item has a unique pattern consisting of triangles and circles, allowing them to be identified as part of the Watchman Series. Cleaners are a group in the Sphere that disposes of Aberrations. They take requests from citizens to exterminate Aberrations that appear in towns, and the group consists of Giver Cleaners and ordinary supporters who assist them. Cleaners are divided into teams such as Akuta, Iga, Childo, Danger, Beauty, and Front. General requests are carried out by one Cleaner and several supporters. In dangerous areas like Polluted or Forbidden Zones, the ratio of Cleaners is increased for the mission. The Front is an organization directly under the boss, so not just anyone can join. Raiders are a criminal organization in the Sphere. In the past, they were a simple group of looters, but they became even more vicious after Zodyl Typhon became the leader. They aim to bring down the Sky Terrace and search for people like Rudo, who originated from the Sky Terrace, to gain information about it. All members are Givers and carry purple lanterns, the symbol of the Raiders. They operate while evading the surveillance of the Enforcers and will use any means necessary to achieve their goals.
