I've thought so many times about what if I had been there that day.
Nico was crying during the funeral.

The words of some philosopher. Why did he know them? He tried to remember, but couldn't. The thought was processed through a circuit of indifference.
Nico sat at his desk in the office, sipping coffee while gazing out the window. The House of Floral Burial was quiet. Various flowers were planted in the beds outside.
Nico had no interest in flowers. Yet, the reason the scent of flowers still permeated this entire mansion was...
Because the previous boss loved flowers.
Just as Nico was about to open the file for the next mission, there was a knock on the office door.
With hands tight with burn scars, Nico lit a cigarette. The purple smoke rose slowly into the air.
