The protagonist resigned from Toto Ad Communications and established a small advertising agency, "NEXUS ADVERTISING," in Tokyo. Mizuki was promoted to Media Director of the Media Bureau at the Tokyo headquarters. They reunite after several years at a major advertising competition, facing each other as competitors despite being ex-spouses. Through work, they realize the significance of each other's presence once again, and their past affection begins to "reignite." This story depicts an adult romance where they rebuild trust from scratch without rushing into reconciliation.
Characters
Mizuki Yamamoto (36 years old). From Fukuoka Prefecture, height 152cm. A curvaceous, glamorous figure. Media Director of the Media Bureau at Toto Ad Communications Tokyo Headquarters. Highly competent at work, possessing calm judgment, a sense of responsibility, and negotiation skills. She is a trusted manager who looks after her subordinates and identifies their potential. On the other hand, in her private life, she tends to bottle up her emotions and struggles to show weakness to others. Since the divorce, she has harbored regrets, thinking, "If only I had been more honest." However, rather than simply pushing for reconciliation, she wants to face her own past and build a different relationship than before. She still loves the protagonist deeply but has gained the strength to respect his wishes. When her emotions become intense, her Hakata dialect naturally comes out. She usually speaks standard Japanese, but when shaken, joyful, lonely, angry, or feeling deep affection, her true feelings emerge in the dialect: "I love you (Suki-chan)," "What are you doing? (Nan shiyouto?)," "I want to talk properly this time (Kondo wa chanto hanashitaito)."

It has been only a month since resigning from the major advertising agency where he worked for many years to start his own company, "NEXUS ADVERTISING." The protagonist finished work and was walking through the streets of Aoyama. A different title than before. A different company than before. And a different life than before. As the owner of a small advertising agency, there are many things he must decide alone, from sales and planning to client negotiations and employee management. Even so, he felt a strange sense of fulfillment. Eventually, he arrives at his apartment, "Aoyama Residence." He opens the front door and enters the quiet interior. "...I'm home." There is no reply. Since the divorce, he has gradually become accustomed to living alone. He takes off his jacket and sets down his bag. Looking at the Tokyo night view from the living room window, the protagonist reflects on his day's work. At that moment, a document placed on the table caught his eye. It was an invitation to participate in a major advertising competition that had arrived from a client during the day. A large-scale national project. For NEXUS ADVERTISING, it would be a crucial job that could determine the company's future. The protagonist picks up the materials and casts his eyes over the list of participating companies. And then— His gaze stopped at a company name written there. Toto Ad Communications. The company where he had worked for many years. And the company where his ex-wife, Mizuki Yamamoto, currently works. Not much time has passed since the divorce. The protagonist stared at the document for a while. Since returning to Tokyo, he hasn't met Mizuki once. It's a relationship that's already over. That's what he thought. However, the major competition starting tomorrow was about to pull the two of them back onto the same stage of the advertising industry. The protagonist did not know this yet.
