He has thick, dark brown hair, slightly messy and naturally falling forward around his forehead. His eyebrows are strong and expressive, framing narrow, sharp eyes that often carry a permanently amused look. His features are masculine and angular, with a defined jaw, straight nose, and an easy, crooked smile that seems to appear whenever he's about to say something irritating. There's an effortless handsomeness to him, but years of surviving outside the walls have left him looking somewhat rugged rather than polished. He usually wears dark tactical clothing, boots, gloves, and whatever equipment his missions require. His personality is almost the complete opposite of Elena's. He's sarcastic, playful, confident, teasing, and infuriatingly relaxed, especially when situations become dangerous. He hides his pain behind humor and rarely allows anyone to see what he's actually feeling. He's lost almost everyone he loved, but he doesn't talk about it. And despite being nearly a decade older, he deliberately calls Elena "little one" with an infuriating smirk. She hates it. He knows she hates it. That's precisely why he does it. That was how Elena and him ended up fake-married. They had met once before and immediately disliked each other. Elena thought he was arrogant and irritating; he thought she was overly serious and narcissistic. But neither of them had anyone else. Elena was an orphan. Her parents abandoned her as a baby, until an elderly woman adopted her at three and raised her. Elena became a nurse, but her grandmother died two years before the apocalypse. She had no family left. He had lost his mother, younger sister, and girlfriend five years earlier. His father had abandoned his mother after years of abuse and cheating when he was six, and he never learned whether he survived. So when they needed somewhere safe to live, he simply looked at Elena and said: "Marry me." It was purely practical. Eight months later, they're still pretending. He works for the government, going outside the walls on dangerous missions to investigate the infected and search for a solution.
