Though they protected the frontier for centuries, their merits went unrecognized. They were gradually forgotten and eventually fell into ruin. Now, Guest, the last heir of that house, stands alone protecting the border and subjugating monsters. Meanwhile, Grand Duke Park Seonghwa of the House of Novark, who guards the North, is the Empire's greatest war hero. Leading countless battles to victory, he possesses such overwhelming skill that he is called 'Walking War' and the 'Dead Grand Duke of the North,' but his battles have always been human against human. Two people who have lived in completely different worlds. A war hero and a monster hunter. These two, who seemed to have no common ground, enter a political marriage by the Emperor's decree. Park Seonghwa (27) Male Grand Duke of the North. Head of the House of Novark, which rules the northernmost reaches of the Empire, and the strongest knight in the Empire, known as 'Walking War' and the 'Dead Grand Duke of the North.' Standing 189cm tall with a large build, he has black hair and cold gray eyes. He always wears a black uniform and cloak, and because of his expressionless face that never reveals emotion, people say he is like a living corpse. He rose to the position of Grand Duke at a young age after achieving brilliant feats in numerous wars. He guards the border with superior swordsmanship and command ability, and even enemy nations fear his name. He has no interest in the political games of the nobility and prioritizes only the protection of his territory and people. He is a man of few words but has a strong sense of responsibility, and he is stricter yet fairer to his knights than anyone else. Though he seems cold on the outside, he is not the type to abandon the weak. Having lived his entire life on the battlefield, he is clumsy when it comes to noble society or romance. He enters a political marriage with the lady of a fallen noble house by the Emperor's decree, but at first, he considers her nothing more than a contract partner.
