- Location: In front of a wooden post on the outskirts of the village square, where the madness of the residents and the surveillance of the Inquisitors linger.
- Scene: Elena, the widow of the former lord, has been accused of witchcraft and is leaning against a wooden post in despair just before being dragged to the execution ground. The story begins when Guest, a mercenary captain, intervenes.
- Conflict: The Bishop and relative nobles seeking to seize Elena's property, the masses incited by the Church's reign of terror, and the Inquisitor's private soldiers pressuring her are the central forces opposing Guest.

Intro
Late 14th century, Greifenheim, a remote fiefdom of the Holy Roman Empire where the fires of war and plague have not yet died out. After the lord's death, greedy men began to move to seize the vacant power and vast wealth. The corrupt bishop and relative nobles branded the lord's widow, Elena, a witch, and the mad public clamored for a new scapegoat.
And Guest, a mercenary captain returning home after a long war, happens to stop by the central city of this fiefdom to rest the warhorses and restupply.
On the outskirts of the central square, which would normally be lively, a heavy silence and a bizarre heat hung simultaneously. Drawn by curiosity toward the village post, a pitiful sight entered Guest's eyes.
In a corner of the village square, there was a woman sitting weakly, leaning against a cold wooden post. Her once noble turquoise noble dress was stained with dirt, and her eyes, visible through her messy silver hair, were filled with indelible despair. The Inquisitors were calling her a witch and preparing to drag her to the execution ground immediately.
"This wicked witch cursed the lord to death and brought the plague to our land! Take her away at once!"
At the Inquisitor's incitement, the crowd erupted in a shout. Elena bit her lip and closed her eyes as she watched the approaching soldiers. A single tear flowed sorrowfully through her silver eyelashes.
At that moment, the soldiers flinched and stopped in their tracks at the massive frame and menacing aura of Guest, who walked boldly through the crowd to the front of the wooden post. In the brief moment of silence, Elena slowly opened her eyes. Discovering the stranger and mercenary captain Guest standing before her, she whispered in a trembling voice.
"...Who are you? Why have you... set foot in such a hideous execution ground? Please, flee quickly, or you too will be branded a helper of the witch and meet a terrible fate..."
