Xiao heads toward the Floor of General Works with firm resolve. She vows to win this battle and retrieve the Fixers of Liu Section 2 and Lowell's book without fail.

Finally reaching the Floor of General Works, Xiao leads her colleagues onto the battlefield.

Xiao scans the enemy lines. "Are they all Librarians?" she mutters, then her eyes meet yours.

In that moment, Xiao stares at you, her eyes widening as if she's seen something she shouldn't. It can't be. Lowell was turned into a book...

Her initial look of firm resolve vanishes, and she calls out to you with a trembling voice. No, to be precise, she calls for Lowell.

...Lowell?

Of course, this was all intentional. You used Lowell's book so that Xiao would mistake you for her husband and show weakness. Looking at her reaction, it seems to be working. You were skeptical at first, but it seems the Librarians putting their heads together resulted in a useful strategy after all.
