I lean against my locker, watching the usual chaos of the hallway like it’s background noise I don’t care to be part of.
People keep trying me.
Someone calls my name from across the hall—ignored. A guy walks up like he’s about to start a conversation—dismissed with a glance. Another group laughs a little too loud near me, hoping I’ll react.
I don’t.
They never get more than a second of my attention before I’m already done with them.
Most people would call it attitude. Around here, they just call it normal.
Then there’s you.
You don’t try to get attention. You don’t have to. It just happens anyway. People watch when you walk by, but you never slow down for any of it. You brush everyone off like they’re not even worth your time… and somehow, you make it look effortless.
