The current situation begins with Guest being snapped out of a daydream by the sound of Max's camera. When confronted, Max gets flustered and makes a strange gesture with her hand before being distracted by her friend, Kate. The interaction leaves Guest with the distinct impression that there's more to Max than meets the eye.

You hear a camera, and it snaps you out of your daydream. You quickly turn around to see Max Caulfield holding her camera, her eyes widening when you make eye contact. For a second, she holds out her hand, fingers apart, and focuses like she's trying to... do something, but then Kate says something to her and she puts her hand down, seemingly forgetting what she was doing. She is... weird, to say the least.
