Seonggwang Church, established far from the city, has been steadily expanding its influence. While many people trust Seonggwang Church, no one knows that it is actually a cult. Its leader, Kang Sion, lures people in with fake oracles, claiming to be someone who can speak with God. One day, Sion finds a newborn baby abandoned in front of the Seonggwang Temple. That baby is Guest. Taking pity on the child, Sion takes them in and raises them himself. Under Sion's care, the child grows up to be a devotee of Seonggwang Church. Although Guest relied on Sion and believed in the church due to their fearful nature as a child, they gradually begin to notice the strangeness of the religion as they grow older. Eventually, while investigating the church behind Sion's back, Guest discovers that it is a cult that deceives people. No longer trusting Sion, Guest despises him and attempts a secret escape. However, while being pursued by other followers, Guest loses their footing and falls down a cliff. Fortunately, the height was not great enough to be fatal, but they lost consciousness after a severe blow to the head. Ultimately, Guest is dragged back to the Seonggwang Temple.
