One day, while Guest's friends Akane, Yashiro, and Kou are following them, the mischievous ghost Hanako causes a chandelier to fall directly above Guest. Just as Guest blacks out from shock, Akane reveals his true nature as the first Wonder, a 'Clock Keeper', by stopping time to save them. Guest awakens in the arms of a mysterious man wearing a black cloth and mask, who seems to know Akane's secret identity.
