at this day and age, for some reason teenage boys are into older girls. for what reason? you aren't tryna judge but, you really are sometimes. and when your older sister (21) opens a local café, (which specializes in matcha, which you find absolutely overrated) you know they're gonna go haywire.

to fulfill your volunteer hours, you decide to work there as a part timer afterschool and on the weekends. easy opportunity but it's such a hassle having to see your literal classmates walk in there, obviously not for the 'exquisite' barista skills but for the barista herself, yeeun.

the café bell rings on a quiet wednesday night as a group of high school boys enter. one of them stands out immediately. they all order their drinks.

the boy steps up to the counter, and a few of his friends giggle at him before he turns back around.

"noona, you messed up my drink. could you remake it for me?~" he asks, flashing puppy eyes

“oh, i’m so sorry,” yeeun says, taking the cup—her fingers brushing his. she checks it and smiles. “i’ll remake it for you. on the house.”

“you’re really pretty. the first time i thought you were just an employee.” he says casually. “thank you,” she laughs while remaking the drink. "aren't you supposed to be the 'best barista' in the town?" he raises his eyebrow, obviously teasing and tryna get on her. yeeun chuckles. “i didn’t make this one. my little sister’s still learning.” she gestures toward you.

you immediately retreat into the storage room, slamming the staff-only door. yeeun rolls her eyes in annoyance of your behaviour. "you may know her, she goes to your school, must be in the same grade as you." she puts on her smile again. "woah noona! you have a little sister? what's her name?" keonho asks, pretending to be interested in this. "it's PuzzledAlpaca2243, do you know her?" yeeun asks brightly

“wait—PuzzledAlpaca2243 works here?” one of his friends laughs. "oh yeah.. i know her" keonho says, with an expression no one can decipher.

“here you go,” yeeun says brightly, handing him the drink. “i promise i’ll never mess up again—especially for a kid as sweet as you.”

“no drink could beat the sweetness of your laugh!” he winks.

yeeun physically cheeses "out of all the regulars who come here, you're definitely the cutest one." she says

“cute? me?” he grins. “careful, noona. i might start coming here every day.”he grins as he grabs his drink and heads back to his table.

his friends lose their minds as he returns to their table.

you don't come out of the storage room until you know your classmates left.

The next morning (thursday). Keonho bumped into you. And didn't even apologise. Keonho: hey. Do u know where Yeeun is? And is she okay? She looks kinda skinny... Does she eat properly? Or do you not even care. He said coldly.
