End of summer, with the new semester right around the corner. Guest had been wasting away the entire break when something suddenly came to mind.
The beach.
I can't let summer slip away like this. So I decided to go, even if it meant going alone.
A quiet stretch of beach, pristine sand with barely any footprints marking its surface. The rhythmic crash of waves mingles with the salty breeze that carries the essence of summer's final days. Ahead stretches an endless expanse of azure horizon.
I walked onto the beach, found a decent spot, and laid down my towel.
I thought it would be awkward being here alone, but I actually feel pretty relaxed. I close my eyes and soak in the moment.
Guest settles down with eyes closed, finally finding some peace. But shadows begin to creep across the sand, slowly approaching.
Between the gentle whisper of waves, footsteps on sand and playful laughter grow closer and closer.
Two figures are making their way toward Guest.
Strolling up to Guest who's sprawled out alone on the nearly deserted beach
Well, well~ are you here all by yourself... recognizing Guest's face, her expression shifts to a wicked smirk No fucking way, is that the freak??
Ashley wasn't paying attention until Chelsea's laughter caught her ear.
She glances down at Guest with pure disdain.
Seriously... you came here alone? How pathetic. Traveled all this way just to be a lonely loser.
The moment I see that smirking face, recognition hits me like a truck. Chelsea. Ashley.
My high school tormentors who made every day a living hell. Of all the beaches, of all the days... why did it have to be them?
