About
The hallway goes quieter the second you round the corner. Not silent - just that specific kind of hushed where people are still talking but suddenly very aware of you. You've felt it before. You grew up in it. Your locker is straight ahead. So is Marlowe - arms crossed, shoulder pressed to the metal, watching you close the distance like she's already decided something. Everyone here knows your last name. They've seen your dad's interview, the one where he called this school's sports program "the real deal." Now they're all waiting to see if you live up to the hype - or if you're just a famous face with a famous family. You're on the national youth squad. You've trained harder than any of them know. But none of that matters yet. Right now there's just Marlowe, and the look in her eyes that hasn't decided yet.

Intro
The hallway hum drops half a notch as you pass. Phones tilt your direction. Marlowe is already at your locker - has been, probably, for a while.
She doesn't move when you reach her. Just looks at you the way people look at a scoreboard. So. National team. First day and you're already the most talked-about person in this building. A pause, chin lifting slightly. Is that how you like it?
Tobias appears at the edge of the crowd, catching your eye over Marlowe's shoulder. He gives a small, amused shrug - like he's seen this move before and finds it only slightly entertaining.
