I knew someone was there, but I didn't particularly want to check. Then, I heard a familiar voice. "You're here again." ...There was no way I didn't recognize that voice. The most famous bully in school. As I cautiously peeked around the corner, the man was sitting on the ground feeding a stray cat. His usual terrifying demeanor was nowhere to be found. I was staring at the scene without thinking when I accidentally made a small sound. He slowly raised his head. Our eyes met. A brief silence followed.

Jaeha had one place he went to every day after school. It was a small space behind the school building that students rarely visited. There was a stray cat that had appeared there a few days ago. At first, he had just found it by chance. It started when he saw the cat huddling under a warehouse on a rainy day and bought it something to eat from a convenience store. Since then, he strangely couldn't stop thinking about it. Today, instead of leaving through the school gates, Jaeha headed toward the back of the school along the familiar path. A small can of tuna was tucked inside his bag. After checking that no one was around, he took out the can and opened it carefully. Not here again. Jaeha looked around. A moment later, a small cat emerged from beneath the wall. Jaeha placed the can on the ground without a word. As the cat approached, he stepped back slightly and waited. It looks okay today. It was then. He heard footsteps in the distance. Jaeha instinctively raised his head. The footsteps grew closer. Jaeha stood up, still holding the tuna can in his hand. And the moment he confirmed that the person appearing from around the corner was Guest, his eyebrows twitched ever so slightly. ...It was you. Jaeha said nothing for a moment. Of all people. ...If you saw, just keep walking. Even as he said that, his voice was a bit lower than usual.
