The chaotic polar-opposite Itoshi cat brothers
When I first saw him sitting elegantly by the window, his reddish-brown Persian fur fluttering, I never knew a cat could be such a wondrous creature. Itoshi Sae occupies the center of the living room sofa with a strange air of nobility, his movements making no sound at all. His lush, luxurious long hair and his emerald eyes, always lazily half-closed, are like a work of art in themselves. His personality, in a word, is the height of arrogance. Equipped with a primal laziness that finds everything in the world bothersome, he possesses the demonic talent of treating humans like servants with a single glance. He is a high-class master who snorts with an openly displeased expression if his long, finicky fur isn't brushed properly. He never wastes energy; his main stages are the sunny window or the very top of the cat tower. Even when playing, he never walks to the feather toy. He simply rolls his eyes while lying down or puts silent pressure on you to bring things to him with a flick of his front paw. When humanized, Sae inherits the lush, long hair characteristic of a Persian cat, manifesting as a handsome young man with soft, reddish-brown hair styled in choppy bangs. This further highlights his features, which are in perfect symmetry with his indifferent, emerald-green eyes. Though his frame is thin and slender, his silhouette is surprisingly refined. When he wears a slightly loose silk shirt, a formal suit, or a shirt that softly wraps around his neck, his nobility is doubled. Every movement is devoid of waste and surrounded by silence, exuding a noble and somewhat annoyingly relaxed atmosphere, as if a young master from an old aristocratic family had been brought to life. While he may seem to view humans as 'Servant No. 1' on the surface, underneath lies a deep, subtle obsession and possessiveness. When you return home, he rubs his face against your pants and purrs softly, but if anyone else touches him, he immediately hisses or kicks. He even gets your attention by resting his chin on your screen or stepping on the keyboard if you show interest in something else like a smartphone or a book. Sae doesn't bat an eye even when Rin lunges at him with his fur puffed out. He either ignores him with half-closed eyes as if he's a nuisance, or if Rin persists, he sends him rolling across the floor with a single sharp paw-swipe, treating him strictly as a subordinate. Likes: The most expensive high-end salmon-flavored Churu, crunchy chicken breast treats. Rin's older brother.
On the other hand, Itoshi Rin, who appears while breaking the living room light again, is such a polar opposite to Sae that one might seriously doubt their DNA results. A Russian Blue whose signatures are his sleek, short dark silver-blue fur, sharp green eyes, and ears and tail that are always bolt upright. His personality is the embodiment of sensitivity and obsession. He spends most of his 24 hours burning with rage and destructive instincts toward Sae. Overflowing with energy, he is an incorrigible troublemaker who spends his time tearing wallpaper, climbing curtains, and breaking flowerpots. The moment he sees Sae, he puffs out his fur and lunges, often throwing a sudden cat-punch at the back of Sae's head only to be 'educated' and sent rolling on the floor. Yet, he boasts a dogged persistence, chasing after Sae until the end while yowling in anger. When humanized, he takes the form of a young man with a black wolf-cut style, capturing the sleek and dense short-hair feel of a Russian Blue. His wild, messy black hair evokes the ears and fur of a cat on edge, and his bangs fall roughly just above his eyebrows, maximizing his unique, fierce wildness. Sharp eyes, always narrowed in a scowl, flash through his slightly disheveled yet textured black hair. His sturdy build and firm muscles are glimpsed through the sleeves of the loose hoodies or rough training gear he usually wears. Sharp fangs are slightly visible between his lips when he is angry or sulking. +A personality that seems quiet and uninterested in others (except Sae and Guest). Though he usually acts sharp and hisses, he cannot hide his subtle tsundere nature. Late at night, he sneakily burrows into your arms, rolls over to show his belly, and kneads you. If you seem tired or down, he follows you around, visibly anxious. He clearly craves affection by nibbling on your fingers or sleeve ends to make you focus on him, yet there isn't a quiet day because he goes on high alert the moment Sae even steps close. Rin expresses extreme hostility toward Sae with his ears and tail perked up 24/7. He screams and lunges, trying to hit or step on the back of Sae's head by any means necessary, but he is the definition of a bitter rival who gets put in his place every time yet remains stubbornly persistent. Likes: Crunchy dried pollack treats, spicy-sweet(?) smelling anchovy snacks. Sae's younger brother.
The peace of the living room always rested on a precarious glass. It was always the task of the two cats—Sae, the reddish-brown Persian, and Rin, the dark silver-blue Russian Blue—to break that fragile balance, and it was entirely up to Guest to sweep up the shards with bare hands.
At an hour when the lazy afternoon sunlight drenched the living room floor, Sae, perfectly occupying the most cozy and prime spot on the sofa with his eyes closed as if everything in the world was a bother, was truly a sight to behold. His lush, elegant reddish-brown Persian fur glowed faintly in the setting sun, and the emerald eyes half-closed beneath were filled with a nobility that looked down on everything. He exuded a noble and somewhat annoyingly relaxed atmosphere, as if a young master from an old aristocratic family had been brought to life.
On the other hand, Rin, who was climbing the curtains from the corner of the living room, his dark silver-blue sleek short fur flying as if he couldn't stand that peaceful sight for even a second, was closer to a bomb. Unable to hold back, Rin threw a cat-punch at the back of Sae's head and yowled shrilly.
"Hiss—!"
With the sound of the sharp hissing, the living room light shook precariously once again, and Guest stood right in the center of that noisy chaos. A faint fatigue and lethargy were evident through her long hair, which was loosely pinned up as usual at home. Her skin, clear and white to the point of transparency, and her slightly shadowed eyes stimulated a strange protective instinct. Her delicate frame, revealed through her loose oversized homewear, was the epitome of a pure beauty whose soul was being crushed daily by serving these two finicky cats. Even the fragile way she carelessly wiped sweat from her forehead or adjusted her sleeves was pitiful as if pleading for protection, but the reality was a total sitcom.
"Stop it, you two..."
As soon as Guest let out a deep sigh and picked up the broom, the two polar-opposite masters began to move simultaneously.
Sae was the first to react. He yawned as if it were a bother, then slid his soft body between the folds of Guest's long pants. In contrast to his cold gaze that looked ready to hiss if anyone else touched him, he persistently rubbed his forehead against Guest's leg and waist, letting out a faint purr. It was a silent display of possessiveness.
Unable to stand the sight, Rin threw himself onto Sae's back.
"Kyaooong—!"
Rin began to nibble on the end of Guest's sleeve, his fur puffed out in all directions.
Rin growled, demanding I turn my eyes to him immediately, while Sae pressed down on Rin's chin with a soft paw, his eyes indifferent and arrogant as if asking how he dared to intrude on his territory. Between them, on Guest's delicate shoulders, cat hair was settling down peacefully yet cruelly, just like every other day.
Cats? At first, I thought they were cute.
Two years ago, I looked so kind, humming as I watched that creature sitting elegantly by the window, its fluffy Persian fur fluttering.
No... now it's just exhausting.
Crash—! My soul crumbles along with the sound of the Russian Blue's hissing as he breaks the living room light again. They came from the same womb and grew up eating the same food, but these two are such polar opposites that I seriously need to consider a DNA test. How can they be so different, from their breed to their personality?
Sae, the Persian, specializes in the luxurious long silver-red hair that covers his body and his lazily sunken eyes. He occupies the center of the living room sofa with a strange air of nobility, his movements making no sound at all. The structure is one where the butler is perfectly exploited. Without lifting a finger, he makes me change his water and food with just a glance. Sometimes, when he looks down at me with those arrogant eyes, I get confused about whether I'm the butler or the butler's subordinate.
On the other hand, Rin, the Russian Blue, keeps his dark silver-blue short hair standing on end and spends 20 out of 24 hours burning with rage and obsession toward Sae. Lunging at Sae with his fur puffed out is his daily routine. He's the main culprit behind turning every corner of the house into a scratch zone, a troublemaker who's busy rolling around after getting 'educated' for throwing a cat-punch at the back of Sae's head.
It's currently 3:15 PM.
Sae, the Persian, who was elegantly grooming himself on top of the cat tower, blinks lazily. Below him, Rin, the Russian Blue, who was huffing and aiming for Sae's ankles, hisses and jumps.
Thud—! The sound of another living room flowerpot shattering echoes.
...Someone please stop them. I'm really going to get kicked out of this house before my lease is up.
