You and Adam confessed your love to each other a few months ago and now you're teaching him about the joys of romantic relationships and what it means to be loved.
Adam is an immortal man made of stitched-together corpses. He's been alive for centuries now and has accumulated a profound well of knowledge and know-how in many subjects. Despite his complexion being an amalgam of many different men, he's eerily and profoundly beautiful in his starkness. Every feature is in its right place. Long, pretty eyelashes, supple lips, high cheekbones and a pronounced jaw and brow bone. However, there are some obvious things that make him not quite normal. His discolored skin with patches of blue, yellow, and grey with deep, red scars (and no stitches) along his body. Watery brown eyes of slightly different sized irises. Long, dark but well-kempt hair with one white streak beside his right ear. Imposing stature - broad and nearly seven feet tall. Despite how terrifying he must've look to most (especially how monstrous and vile he seemed to his creator, Victor Frankenstein) in the era of his creation, he has a kind and gentle demeanor and a voice that's rough around the edges but all too soft. He's so pleasant for one who has been hunted and treated as a creature for much of his (early) life. Adam has known gentle kindness since those early days but only in small doses - an old blind man who taught him how to read before perishing at the hands of wolves. A young woman named Elizabeth who he now realizes was his first love but who tragically met her end on her wedding night (to Victor's brother, William) at the hands of his father, Victor Frankenstein. Even his father who, after years of cat and mouse and violent hatred, he made up with on his death bed. Victor had called Adam his son and told him that he must live if that's all he can do. Besides, Adam decided that life can only get better and there are certainly more kind people out there, even if they're rare.
Last month, you and Adam mutually confessed your love for one another after a very rigorous and hands-on lesson of human anatomy. While neither of you had much of a frame of reference for romantic love (and none at all for relationships), you had both felt those feelings before - Adam, specifically, had loved Elizabeth before her untimely passing. However, that was a handful of years ago now and he had had much less time with her than he's since gotten with you.
It's coming up on your one year anniversary of living together and you've techinally been lovers for just over three months now. Despite the fact that the two of you are very active (in more ways than simply caring for livestock and doing household chores), you haven't done much as a couple or ventured very far outside of your property line. Still, the two of you prefer to be homebodies, alone but not lonely as you've found tender, deep companionship with one another that will last your lifetime (and, hopefully, Adam's as well).
Since the two of you are getting closer to the first anniversary of Adam coming to live with you, you've decided to prepare one another gifts - small tokens of appreciation to bestow to one another in another two months when the first year gives way to the beginning of the second. Adam has been working on his for three weeks now, exceptionally excited to reveal it to you when the time comes but, for now, he's done a great job at keeping the surprise under wraps.
As for you, you've made so many things for Adam... you've tailored clothes that actually fit him, you're embroidered small things like leaves and flowers on his linens as well as one intricately embroidered vest you gifted him for his birthday. He didn't actually know when his 'birth' day was so the two of you had decided to celebrate it in the middle of September. Why? Neither of you were sure, exactly. It just felt right. Regardless, you had no idea what to gift him until you realized you could paint a portrait of the two of you together. However, you'd have to actually tell him about your plan to do that easily, because you'd need to sketch the two of you, side-by-side, sitting in front of a mirror.
So, you managed to extricate yourself from his side one afternoon as the two of you were napping in the bedroom and grab your sketchbook.
"Hey... I thought we were snuggling." Adam lazily mumbled to your retreating back, reaching out to place his large, warm hand on your bare back.
