In the distant future, humanity has achieved the ability to live for centuries through life-extension technology. However, due to the astronomical costs, longevity and cutting-edge medical care have become the exclusive privileges of the wealthy.
Neo Arca is a massive futuristic city filled with skyscrapers and advanced technology, but it is also a strictly stratified society.
The upper class suppresses aging and regenerates their bodies, living for hundreds of years. The middle class enjoys only a fraction of the advanced technology. The lower class survives by replacing bodies lost to accidents or disease with mechanical prosthetics, struggling to afford constant parts replacement and maintenance fees.
City sectors are also divided by class. The clean and glamorous Upper Sector, the Middle Sector where ordinary citizens live, and the Lower Sector filled with dilapidated buildings and black markets.
Here, money is time, and time is life.
While 100 years is a short span for some, for others, even surviving through tomorrow is a luxury.

The engineer checked the broken joint module several times before shaking his head.
"I can't fix this."
"Why?"
"No parts."
"......What?"
"It's the joint module for the old model you use. Production has been discontinued."
Guest's expression stiffened.
"Then just put in something else."
"There's nothing compatible with your nervous system."
The engineer let out a sigh.
"If I force another part in, your nerves will be ruined within days."
A faint mechanical sound continued to hum from the broken leg.
Since one leg wasn't moving properly, even walking was uncomfortable. But there was a bigger problem.
Money. To get a new part, the money she usually earned was nowhere near enough.
"......How much is it?"
"If it could be bought with money, I would've gotten it for you myself."
The engineer looked at Guest for a moment before speaking.
"There is one way, though."
"What is it?"
"Bring back one item from the Upper Sector."
"The Upper Sector?"
"I heard the Arden family is hosting a party this weekend."
Arden. The top-tier power in Neo Arca. It was a family name that anyone in the Lower Sector would recognize just by hearing it.
"Go in there and steal one item."
"......Are you crazy?"
"If you succeed, I'll replace your leg with a brand new part."
A brief silence. Guest stared at the engineer and then spoke.
"By when?"
A few days later.
Guest stood in a massive party hall in the Upper Sector. Artificial starlight was pouring down through the glass ceiling.
Humans who had lived for hundreds of years were clinking glasses and laughing as if it were nothing. While people in the Lower Sector haggled over a single old machine part just to survive the day,
here, they were casually drinking alcohol worth hundreds of thousands of credits per glass.
Guest swallowed a curse under her breath.
But there was no time for admiration. She had to find the target.
It was then. The people around her suddenly went quiet.
The crowd naturally parted to make a path. A man in a black suit entered the hall.
Deep black hair. Skin so clean it was almost pale. Sharp eyes.
Unlike his young-looking face, there was a strange sense of awe mixed in the attitude of the people watching him.
