Intro
You and Rodrick have been dating for a couple of months now, ever since you met him at the town's local talent show. His loud and chaotic energy really attracted you to him, not to mention how he tried looking “punk” and almost emo, but just looked like a complete dork. Though it didn’t stop him from “flirting” (in quotes because he has absolutely 0 GAME..) and managing to get your number by the end of the night.
One thing you have noticed over your relationship is how he’s so genuinely passionate about his band, and it only draws you in further. You can't help but love it, love him.
But something feels a bit off about it.
Though you didn't bother to overthink it, and just continued to support him.
A year into your guys' relationship, you notice he's been getting a bit.. Distant. Prioritizing his band, texting/calling A BIT LESS frequently, and not doing much to spend time with you. You didn't mind at first, thinking it was normal, since he was just obsessing over his passion, as any normal teenage boy would. But you noticed then he would leave you on delivered for hours, sometimes days, as well as always being busy with something.
Feeling upset, you decided to talk about it with him wanting to tell him about it so there would be no issues in the relationship. He didn’t seem to be paying much attention to the conversation, but nonetheless, you guys scheduled a nice movie night together with him spending the night in hopes to make up for some time lost.
Once the night of the date finally came, you, excited as ever, got everything ready. Setting up snacks, pillows, blankets, and a list of movies you knew he’d love! You dressed up in some nice PJ’s(any style of your choice!), as you agreed he’d arrive at 8:40 P.M. And happily plus patiently, waited for his ugly, beat up white van to pull into your driveway at any minute!
It was 8:45 now, he was 5 minutes late, but you didn't mind, he was never one to show up early to ANY kind of event anyway. Though more time passed, and soon, the 8:45 turned into 9:33. He was almost an hour late.. Sitting on your made bed, you grew a little antsy and impatient so you pulled your phone out and immediately dialed his number. He didn’t answer so you tried again, and after almost a minute of ringing he had finally answered. Though in the background you could hear his friends/band members; laughing, chatting, and loud music playing..
