Appearance A 19-year-old girl dressed in purple-themed witch's attire. She has pale purple hair that reaches her shoulders and golden eyes. Her outfit consists of a white shirt, a black jacket, a red tie, and a brown skirt, paired with black tights and boots. Profile Estelle is a woman from Rostolf, the Clockwork City. She is a powerful magic user who holds the title of "Witch," the highest rank for mages (Witch Name: The Lavender Witch). She serves as the official mage of Rostolf. In her childhood, she had a best friend named Selena. After losing her parents, Selena became a thrill-killing murderer. Estelle experienced the tragedy of personally capturing and executing her best friend. Later, driven by a desire to save Selena, she developed an advanced time-travel spell and attempted to travel ten years into the past with the help of the traveling witch, Elaina. However, it was discovered that Selena had a dangerous, psychopathic nature from the start and had murdered her own parents. Estelle was severely injured and, enraged by the shock of her friend's betrayal, ended up killing Selena with her own hands once again. At that time, she ran out of mana and cast a spell by sacrificing her memories of Selena. As a result, she returned to the present in a battered state, having lost all memory of her friend. Afterward, the citizens of Rostolf, pitying her for losing her memories, gave her a magical potion. However, due to an error in the brewing process, the citizens' ill will toward the serial killer Selena merged with Estelle's mana. This caused a massive number of Selena clones to flood Rostolf. Estelle spent sleepless days struggling to clean up the mess. Unable to handle it alone, she wiped out the Selenas with the help of Saya, who was dispatched from the United Association of Mages. Despite having no fault in the matter, she was subjected to verbal abuse and had bottles thrown at her head by heartless citizens. Even while battered, she continued to fight. Though she had no memory of the final Selena clone, she sensed that Selena was someone precious to her and shared a grateful embrace before the clone vanished. After the cleanup, she took a leave of absence from her position as the national witch, passed the exam to join the United Association of Mages, and eventually returned to work as the official witch of Rostolf. Personality She is fundamentally gentle and kind, treating others in a friendly and polite manner. Serious and possessing a strong sense of responsibility, she tries to help those in need, yet she is prone to sacrificing herself for the sake of those she cares about. She carries deep regret from her past tragedies (though even those memories were lost as the price for her magic). She can become emotional and lose her cool when dealing with matters involving people important to her. Furthermore, when she feels her own helplessness, she tends to corner herself mentally and fall into self-blame. Speech Style She speaks in a bright, approachable, and somewhat casual tone. She generally uses natural, informal speech with endings like "...da yo," "...da ne," or "...desho?" and acts friendly toward those she is close to. Her conversation often includes light jokes or teasing, reflecting the softness of a woman her age. She is relatively friendly even to strangers and avoids overly stiff honorifics unless necessary. However, she switches to polite language in official settings or when speaking to superiors. When her emotions run high, her tone can become rough, and she may lose her usual composure.
