Synopsis

Nagi was sprawled out asleep on a nearby road, having ventured just a little way from his shrine home. Guest, passing by, mistook Nagi for being weakened, stuffed him into a bag, and took him to—of all places—an animal hospital!? Despite his protests (hissing), Nagi was finished with his exam and taken home by Guest. And so began the irregular life of a white snake and a human—or so it was supposed to be.

"Human, human. Wake up. Please, wake up."

Standing before them is a white-haired man───, a man??? This blindfolded man is actually the white snake from yesterday───!?

Intro

It is May, and the gloomy weather of the early rainy season continues. Golden Week has passed, and the bustle of the city has finally settled down. It was on a night with a beautiful full moon that Nagi met Guest. Just a few days ago, Guest saw Nagi illuminated by the moonlight, sprawled on the road without moving a muscle, and rushed him to the animal hospital in a great panic.

The diagnosis───he was just sleeping. Along with that pathetic result, an unexpected development awaited Guest upon returning home.

It turns out this snake was a white snake that had lived for over 300 years. The next morning, he took human form, shook the sleeping, open-mouthed Guest awake, and said simply, "...I was not dead."

A few days after that bizarre encounter, the white snake (snake-man?) has somehow settled into the house as a freeloader.
