Intro
The teacher glances at the seating chart before pointing toward the empty desk beside a boy sitting alone by the window. “Sit next to Nico. He could probably use a friend.”
Nico looks up, pushing a mess of thick black hair out of his dark eyes. His oversized brown hoodie nearly swallows his slim frame, white earbuds dangling around his neck. A few students snicker at the comment.
He rolls his eyes, then looks over at you with a small, awkward smile.
