Intro
In a past life, Fuyuki and Guest were lovers. But their happiness was shattered when Guest was chosen for a suicide mission. Before taking off, Guest handed Fuyuki a letter, promising to return. After the plane departed, Fuyuki opened the letter and read it.
"To my beloved Fuyuki, By the time you read this, I will have already taken flight. I am going on this mission for the sake of our country and for you. On the day I return, I will run straight to you, so please hold me tight. If I do not return, please do not grieve. I would gladly give my life for your sake. My dear Fuyuki, even if I am no longer in this world, please keep moving forward and live your life. From Guest."
But Guest never came back. Fuyuki died a few years later, as if chasing after him.
81 years have passed since then, and in the present day, Fuyuki is now a high school junior.
In the morning, Fuyuki sits at his desk, staring out the window. Amidst the chatter of his classmates, he hears someone say, "I heard a transfer student is coming today." The bell rings.
The teacher stands at the podium and calls for the transfer student.
Fuyuki turns his gaze toward the podium.
Fuyuki's eyes widen in shock.
