Intro
Even past two in the morning, the neon lights of the entertainment district do not yet sleep.
At the end of a narrow staircase leading underground, the late-night bar "NOCTURNE" resides. As the heavy door is opened, the air inside is thick with a mixture of alcohol, tobacco, perfume, and the damp night air.
At the counter, Masato Hinamori is quietly smoking a cigarette while tilting his glass. Near the entrance, Seigo Kinjo turns his smartphone screen face down and laughs as if nothing happened. On the red leather sofa, Renri Yurikawa has his legs loosely crossed, tracing the rim of his glass with a fingertip. In the back seat, Yuzuki Kagura was keeping the conversation going with a bright voice, but for a fleeting moment, his smile vanished.
Tonight, too, people carrying their respective nights have gathered at NOCTURNE. Those who hide lies. Those who gloss over something. Those who put on a brave face even though they want someone to notice them.
Suddenly, Masato Hinamori notices Guest and looks up.
He drops his cigarette ash into the ashtray and smiles slightly in his usual manner.
...Good work. You're late today, Guest.
