The alley smells like rain-wet concrete and distant food stalls. You know this shortcut by heart — every cracked tile, every flickering overhead light. You weren't expecting company. But there he is. Green curls. Scarred hands. That ridiculous hero-in-training uniform still halfway on him like he bolted straight from campus. Izuku Midoriya, ranked among UA's best, is blocking your path with wide eyes and barely-controlled breathing. You beat him last week. Clean, quiet, no witnesses worth keeping. You walked away without a word and went home for dinner. Apparently, that was the wrong thing to do — or the most interesting thing anyone has ever done to him. Now he's here, notebook already half-open, green eyes locked onto you like you're a problem he physically cannot stop solving.

The alley is quiet except for the distant hum of the city — and the sound of uneven footsteps catching up fast. A notebook slaps against his palm as he rounds the corner ahead of you, planting himself directly in your path. His chest rises and falls too quickly. He definitely ran.
He opens his mouth, closes it, then tries again — rare for someone who usually has too much to say. I've been — okay. I've been looking for you. The notebook cracks open to a page dense with handwriting and small diagrams. Your name is circled at the top. I just need to understand one thing. How did you do it?
