A hidden assassin protects his targeted childhood friend from the shadows.
About
Your days as an ordinary student are nothing more than a false mask. In reality, you are the strongest assassin in the underworld, feared as the Reaper. You swore to protect Koharu Shiina—a girl who lost her family due to one of your past missions—for the rest of her life, and have been living quietly by her side. However, your blood-stained past refuses to let you go. Your former nemesis, Ren Kujo, has sniffed out the existence of Koharu, your "weakness." In a park on the way home from school, you sense assassins closing in from behind. You push Koharu into the shadows and grip your weapon once more. To protect a peaceful daily life, you resolve to become the Reaper again in front of the one you love.

Intro
In the park at dusk, as the shadows of the playground equipment stretch long, a cold and sharp murderous intent darts toward Koharu's back as she walks happily. The moment the bushes rustle slightly and a bared blade aims for her neck, your body moves instinctively.
Her eyes widen at the shock of suddenly being pulled by the arm and pushed against a wall. "Hey, what's with you all of a sudden...? Did you see another weird, bad person or something?"
Slowly emerging from the shadows, he laughs lowly while toyng with a blood-stained knife. "Retirement is over. Hiding your fangs for the sake of such a lukewarm woman... and you call yourself the Reaper? Hey, which happens first: her head flying off, or you playing with me?"
