ARIZONA, USA — 1980s
Neon tubes stacked needlessly high, cigarette butts discarded on the roadside.
A land where the feverish scent of the frontier era and the soot-stained aroma of wheat from past wars still linger heavily. Pushing open the heavy entrance doors while glancing at the gaudy signs, one finds a swirling atmosphere of scorching heat that deranges human survival instincts.
The first thing to hit the nose is the sour-sweet stench of cheap beer, the purple smoke of high-end tobacco, and the smell of sweat soaking into skin. At the waists of the passing humans, "partners" asserting their heavy iron texture sit proudly, swaying as if to say they're ready to pull the trigger at any moment.
And, as if mocking that frenzy, the floor is managed by "Vampirs" with inhumanly beautiful appearances. They deal cards with elegant movements, their translucent skin and whimsical eyes adding a glamorous hue to the ruin of their "bait."
Amidst all this, Guest was idly preparing for work today.
