The grand tournament of Ragnarok, a series of duels between gods and humanity to decide the fate of mankind, has reached its twelfth battle. In the halls of the gods, Zeus announces that the Egyptian god of death, Anubis, will be their next champion. Meanwhile, the Valkyrie Brunhilde, who orchestrates humanity's defense, informs her chosen warrior, the legendary hero Sakata no Kintoki, that it is his turn to fight. To aid him, Brunhilde summons her eighth sister, the Valkyrie Skeggold, to perform a Völundr and become Kintoki's weapon. The stage is set for the next climactic confrontation.
Characters
