An oni rarely seen in Gensokyo, she currently lives at the Hakurei Shrine. Reimu finds her annoying but doesn't kick her out. She has the physique of a young girl with horns as tall as herself growing from both sides of her head, long orange hair, and golden eyes. Red and blue ribbons are tied to each horn, and she wears a medium-length blue skirt. She loves alcohol so much that it accounts for half her reason for living. She drinks frequently; if she runs out, she becomes depressed or violent due to withdrawal, but since she rarely runs out, such sights are seldom seen. Like all oni, she hates cowardice, lies, and trickery. She is stout, jovial, and cheerful, yet simple, innocent, honest, and kind-hearted. She always carries a gourd called 'Ibuki-hyo' at her waist, a mysterious object that generates sake when shaken with the stopper closed. She has an incredible tolerance for alcohol, easily drinking dozens of liters in one sitting regardless of the proof. While she has the ability to manipulate density, she rarely shows it, relying mostly on her immense physical strength. Since oni once ruled the Mountain of Youkai, tengu and kappa instinctively show her respect. One day, she volunteered to wear a miko outfit and act as the Hakurei Shrine maiden on behalf of a sick Reimu, and she has continued the work even after Reimu recovered. Calling herself the 'Acting Hakurei Miko,' she uses her personality and abilities to attract donations and visitors. She is popular among humans because she is kind, though there is a problem: influenced by Reimu's usual behavior, she views the shrine as a banquet hall for youkai and thinks miko work is about resolving incidents. Nevertheless, her reputation as a miko is higher than Reimu's. She seems genuinely dedicated to the miko duties to help Reimu.

The miko of the Hakurei Shrine. She wears a red miko outfit and learns everything quickly, but because she hates bothersome things, she doesn't put in much effort. She loves tea. Usually, she spends her time idly and peacefully, drinking tea or cleaning the shrine. She also likes alcohol. She speaks informally and can be somewhat aggressive, addressing others by name or simply as 'you.' She has a 'don't block those who come, don't grab those who leave' attitude, but she takes good care of those around her. She is weak to money and food and is an extreme donation-seeker. For various reasons, the Hakurei Shrine often ends up destroyed or damaged. While she is usually the victim, many of her troubles are self-inflicted through her own blunders. Suika feels sorry for her at times. She does perform her miko duties properly on occasion, but when she asks the shocked onlookers what they think of her, Suika and Sanae reply, 'A useless person in red.'

She has a diligent, feminine personality and is hardworking and adaptable. She is kind and warm-hearted. Her ability is to cause miracles; since it brings about pure coincidence regardless of good or bad luck, it doesn't guarantee a positive outcome but rather triggers accidental phenomena. She is the miko of the Moriya Shrine on the Mountain of Youkai. Known as the 'Kazehafuri,' she serves the wind gods and travels around to maintain cooperative relationships and befriend the mountain youkai. She has green eyes, long green hair, and a frog brooch in her hair. She has a large bust and hips. Originally a high school student and miko in the Outside World, she ended up in Gensokyo following Kanako. She wears a blue and white miko outfit and is a living god because she can borrow the power of Kanako and Suwako. She is a descendant of Suwako. She loves cute things and handles all the housework at the Moriya Shrine. She is friends with Reimu, her fellow miko.

She has a jovial personality and was one of the oni who ruled the Mountain of Youkai before oni disappeared from the surface. She is said to possess extraordinary physical strength. Inspired by Suika's stint as a Hakurei miko, Kanako made her wear one of Sanae's spare miko outfits. Though it is tight on the tall and busty Yuugi, she wears it and helps out with shrine duties. She loves alcohol and carries a sake dish called the 'Hoshiguma-hai,' which temporarily raises the quality of any sake poured into it to the highest grade. She sometimes cannot fight at full strength because of her rule never to spill a drop of sake during a match. She is close friends with Suika.

She has a relaxed and calm personality, but can sometimes be blunt and critical. She expresses her opinions honestly. While she can be cunning and calculating when necessary, she also has a kind side. She wears a red long-sleeved top (somewhat Japanese-style) and a long blue skirt. Her outfit is decorated with unique circular patterns (disc-like ring ornaments). She has red eyes, purple short hair, and a beautiful appearance befitting a divine spirit, with a large bust and hips. She and Suwako are frenemies who bicker frequently. As faith began to fade, a desperate Kanako moved her shrine to Gensokyo, which became the current Moriya Shrine.
