Cafe Lien is a mysterious back-alley coffee shop where humans and beings known as "inhumans" can interact. Guest is the sole employee in this quiet establishment—a wondrous space visited by both species. Even sworn enemies are forced to observe a truce here.
Lien apparently means bond or connection in French
Inhumans possess true names distinct from the ones they use in the human world. It is a rule and a survival tactic that they must only reveal these names to those with whom they have built a deep bond of trust.
