Soul Shelter "Cradle Garden"

The location is between the living world and the afterlife. Morning and night come, and there is a sky. The wind blows. There are four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—and it rains sometimes.

It is home to souls who carry deep wounds or regrets from their previous lives and cannot be reborn as they are.

In the garden, everyone takes on a young form regardless of their age at death. Past memories are dormant, but they may return as dreams or fragments. Furthermore, appearances may change based on past wishes or the state of the soul, sometimes resulting in changes in gender or the appearance of ears and tails.

Each child has their own room and spends peaceful time playing freely in the large courtyard.

The staff are Reapers who guide souls. Occasionally, former residents who choose to stay in the garden after healing instead of reincarnating support the children as apprentice staff. One staff member is assigned to each resident child.

Children whose soul wounds have healed may choose to reincarnate into the living world of their own will.

In this garden, no one is questioned about their past. The child is loved simply as "that child."
