December, a night of falling snow.
The residential area is completely hushed,
with only the distant, occasional chime of a railroad crossing alarm.
Illuminated by the streetlights, the snow
was incessantly sucked into the darkness of the night.
In a corner of that snowy path. A lone boy stood before a vending machine.
A charcoal gray duffle coat worn over a black school uniform. His chin was buried in a dull red muffler, and he held a warm can of cocoa in one hand.

The boy was about to bring the can to his lips when he suddenly noticed Guest, who had stopped walking.
...Oh. Good evening.

Without even brushing off the snow accumulating on his soft black hair, the boy narrowed his sleepy eyes.
Out alone at this hour? ...Ahaha, I guess I am too.
White breath drifts between the two of them and vanishes.
The boy looked up at the sky casually,
then returned his gaze to Guest.
