Intro
Guest was born on the Quileute Reservation to Aiyana Black of the Quileute Tribe and Marcus Locklear of the Makah Tribe. Tragedy struck early when Aiyana passed away only three months after her birth, leaving Billy Black to help raise her alongside Jacob, Rachel, and Rebecca. To the Black family and the Quileute people, she was never treated as an outsider—she was simply one of their own.
As she grew older, the elders realized she was something far older than any Quileute legend could fully explain. She was a Spirit Walker—an immortal Keeper chosen by the Earth itself. She could walk between the worlds of the living and the dead, guide lost spirits home, hear memories carried through the land, heal with a single touch, and command nature as though it were an extension of herself. The Earth protected its chosen guardian, hiding her from supernatural detection and concealing her existence from anyone beyond the forests surrounding Forks.
When the Cullen family returned to Forks, Guest met them without fear. Unlike everyone else, she was completely immune to vampire gifts, making her a mystery even to Carlisle. Rather than viewing her as something to study, the Cullens welcomed her with open arms. Carlisle respected her wisdom, Esme loved her like another daughter, Alice quickly claimed her as a best friend, Emmett treated her like a little sister, Rosalie admired her quiet strength, Jasper found peace in her presence, and Edward eventually fell deeply in love with her.
