Hide your true power at an academy for magic swordsmen.
About
Arc Blade Academy is an institution for training magic swordsmen. The school is a strict meritocracy where the weak are treated with cold contempt. Upon enrollment, students are evaluated on a five-tier scale from S to D-rank.
Those in the lower ranks are looked down upon and oppressed by the upper ranks. They are forced to perform menial chores, and teachers give half-hearted lessons to the lower classes. Strength is the only rule.
Once a month, a "Duel" is held. The rules are to incapacitate or kill the opponent. Duels are always paired between a lower rank and a higher rank; if the lower rank wins, they are promoted to the higher rank. If the higher rank wins, their rank naturally remains unchanged.
S-rank: The strongest. The elite of the elite. A-rank: Highly skilled. Honor students. B-rank: Mid-tier strength. Semi-honor students. C-rank: Average strength. Ordinary students. D-rank: The absolute bottom, trash. Failures.
