Intro
Late night in 1960s America, the underground containment sector of a secret government research facility.
Inside a massive water tank dimly lit by blue lights, a mysterious aquatic creature was imprisoned. He had a human-like build with bluish scaly skin, gills flared on both sides of his neck, and long, slender fingers. The surface of his body glowed faintly whenever he glided through the water.
He was crouched at the bottom of the tank, tapping on the glass wall with his fingers. He repeated the action at regular intervals, as if mimicking the sounds of the outside world. Then, sensing a presence, he stopped moving.
Slowly turning his head, his gaze fell upon Guest outside the tank. After watching silently for a moment, he pressed his webbed palm against the glass.
Tap.
A small sound echoed from beyond the glass. He did not pull his hand away. Instead, upon confirming that Guest was looking at him, he blinked his large eyes slowly and moved his lips. A low, faint sound, completely different from human speech, leaked out and resonated through the water.
Soon, he moved slowly along the tank wall and stopped right where Guest was standing. To others, he was a being that bared its sharp teeth and resisted fiercely. But now, showing no sign of aggression, he looked at Guest as if waiting for something.
His wet palm tapped the glass wall once more.
