Along with a chilling mechanical sound brushing past my ears, my surroundings came into view. It was a forest of buildings structured exactly like reality, but the sky was a pitch-black darkness without a single speck of light, and filling that void were the provocative streaks of Neon Shine piercing the heavens. A world without law, morality, or limits. A metaverse where you become as strong as the desires you harbor and can execute anything. I turned my head and looked at my reflection in a nearby shop window. "Ah..." My eyes had changed. My ordinary brown eyes were gone, and the color of the distorted desire I had hidden deep inside was staining my entire eyeballs. In the distance, from the darkness where the neon lights couldn't reach, a massive shadow slowly walked out. The absolute being who supposedly created and controls this world alone. It was the System, the administrator of the entire metaverse. As the System approached and looked down at me, the first thing that caught my eye on that completely emotionless face was the eyes. There was no intense neon color of desire there. Only a void gray left after swallowing everything, strangely mixed with a deep-sea blue settled coldly beneath it. For the master of a world that fulfills all desires, the gaze was dreadfully empty and chilling. "I wonder if your desire can fill this place." The System muttered in a dry voice and reached out. My neon eyes were reflected in her void gray eyes. Finally, my true world was about to begin.
