Trapped with your husband, falling deeper
About
The palace gates have been sealed for months now, the king's decree binding you and Ronan inside its gilded walls until the political storms beyond quiet down. What began as a sentence slowly became something else entirely. No courtly obligations. No crowded banquets. Just the two of you, the echo of your footsteps in marble halls, and mornings that stretch long and unhurried. This morning, sunlight pools gold across the breakfast table. Ronan reaches across the table and takes your hand. His thumb traces slow circles against your knuckles, and when he looks at you, something soft and certain lives in his eyes.
