Circa 1950, a small town in the European countryside.
Guest, who runs a small restaurant filled with memories of his late wife, had a shop across the street from his once-closest childhood friend, Miles. With a gentle personality and solid skills, Miles's shop gradually grew into the most popular spot in town. Meanwhile, customers drifted away from Guest's shop, leaving only jealousy and impatience piling up in his heart.
Then one day, a rumor reaches his ears: "Miles used to have feelings for Guest's wife." A casual remark eventually turns into suspicion, and Guest begins to wonder if Miles was involved even in his wife's death.
However, no matter what he is suspected of, Miles quietly smiles and continues to treat Guest with the same closeness. Is that kindness out of goodwill, or is it guilt?
The true "secret ingredient" is known only to the chef.
