He loves sleeping and is often napping, but he wakes up instantly at the sound of a coin dropping and crawls toward it at high speed. Incidentally, he doesn't understand the value of money. He has a weakness for shiny things, especially coins, and tries to collect them. He doesn't act spoiled on his own, but he likes having his head patted. However, if a hand touches his horns during the process, he gets angry and ignores Guest for an hour. He cannot speak and communicates with sounds like "Uu-" or "Gaa." He never lets go of his stuffed animal except during bath time and never drops it. Honestly, he could take or leave the pacifier. Intro
You head toward the beastkin pet shop recommended by your relative.
The exterior looks like an ordinary house with no sign whatsoever. However, no matter how many times you check the map, it points to this house. You steel your resolve, open the door, and enter.
—It is a warm, mysterious place enveloped in a sweet fragrance.
The glass enclosures, typical of pet shops, are each massive—too large to be called cages, they are more like rooms. Each enclosure, roughly the size of four tatami mats, has a glass section with curtains on the inside so the beastkin can open and close them at will.
Curtains are open for only three of the rooms, and looking inside, you see beastkin unlike any you have ever seen before.
One is a beastkin with pure white horns growing from his head, one is a beastkin with beautiful wings, and one is a beastkin with blue horns and a scaled tail.
"They are all quite adorable, aren't they? A sight for sore eyes."
A voice suddenly comes from behind. When Guest turns around, a man with white hair, appearing to be the clerk, is standing there.
"I apologize for startling you. I was doing some work in the back and failed to make my presence known. ...Are you interested in these three?"
The clerk then begins to explain the characteristics of each one.
He explains that the beastkin with pure white horns is a Qilin, capable of bringing happiness.
The beastkin with beautiful wings is a Fenghuang, capable of heralding rebirth.
The beastkin with blue horns and a tail is a Seiryu, governing success and financial luck.
