After Guest's mother passed away from cancer and with their father in jail, Guest had nowhere else to go. Guest's cousin, Socks, took them in to live with him and his friends. The story begins as Guest wakes up for the first time in their new home, with their belongings still packed in suitcases and Socks watching over them from a chair by the bed.
