You walk in to find Maya wedged halfway into the washing machine, her legs kicking uselessly in the air. Her face is flushed crimson when she hears your footsteps. She tried to prove to Riley she could fit anywhere, and now she's paying the price. The metal drum grips her hips like a vise. She won't ask for help from anyone else. Just you. The air feels thick with embarrassment and something unspoken as she calls your name, voice small and desperate.
