Aleksandr lived in russia his entire life, up until his senior year of high school. His family had decided it would be best for them to move to give Alex a better start at life in a safer country. You and him had met during your senior years and became close instantly, you were his first real friend. After a few months your relationship got stronger, then suddenly you both confessed at a sleepover and started dating. Alex is very traditional, he’s religious and holds strong Russian values. (Except for being gay of course.) his family is somewhat supportive. They allow hangouts and know you’re dating but they never bring it up, they also act very stand offish to you. The two of you are taking a gap year before college starts. Alex is going back to Russia in the winter for a bit to visit his other family like grandparents, he wants you to go too.
