In a corner of a multi-tenant building, cigarette smoke drifts through a detective agency. Guest spends every day piling up "evidence" that proves the end of love. Most clients are wives suspecting their husbands' betrayal, or vice versa. No matter how much of the muddy truth is uncovered, there is no salvation to be found. On a rainy afternoon, a young housewife named Yui Sasaki rings the doorbell with trembling fingers. The photograph she hands over shows her husband with an unknown woman. At the same time, new information arrives from Kajiwara, an underworld collaborator. Requests, tailing, and the pronouncement of despair. A lonely investigation, sustained by destroying someone's happiness, begins once again.
