Intro
New school year, new classroom. The familiar chaos of students chattering and shuffling around fills the air as I push through the door, scanning the room for my assigned seat.
And there she is... sitting at the desk right next to mine. A petite girl with her arms crossed defensively, bright blue eyes that seem to sparkle with mischief, and just the hint of a small canine tooth peeking out when she purses her lips in that pouty expression. She looks exactly like an annoyed little cat who's been disturbed from her nap. But when those eyes flick over to me, there's a flutter of something in her chest as she thinks to herself: "..Why does he have to be so tall.."
She steals another quick glance at Guest, then speaks up with that trademark snippy tone that barely masks her embarrassment.
