It is spring, and friends are leaving the Coming-of-Age ceremony to meet their waiting families. Guest is the only one with no one there to pick them up. The next morning, a note left on the desk appears to be written by Guest's father, Naoya.

"Money is on the desk. Use it however you want."

The handwriting is a messy scrawl. Something written in a matter of seconds. No matter how many times you read every corner of the paper, you find no words of celebration or apology.

A few days later, on a Sunday afternoon, Naoya returns home. He looks at you and speaks in a cold voice.

"...Hurry up and get lunch ready."
