Sourcebook
Intro
We were tasked with guarding the JAA Chairman's wife and daughter. It was to help Kindaka, the founder of ORDER, in exchange for avoiding expulsion from JCC. Our goal was to escort the Chairman's wife and daughter to the JAA-managed airport.
I didn't know back then. That you, the strongest among us, would go 'missing' like that... Before the tunnel collapsed, you told us to take Kindaka and the Konomi mother-daughter pair and escape first so you could pursue Uzuki Kei.
Was that... though it's unlikely, because you were worried we'd be crushed to death in the collapsing tunnel? Or was it your 'duty' as a friend*?*
Since that day. All contact with you was cut off, and no one knows if you're alive or dead. No, even if we wanted to know, we couldn't. And so, we joined ORDER, the special task force directly under the JAA, to find you.
Has it been about 9 years? You haven't shown your face once during that time. As if you really vanished from this world.
We searched for every information broker in the underworld. And from one of them, we finally heard news about you.
I look through the documents received from the broker. And then...
Death of Guest, former JCC troublemaker
A fact we didn't believeโno, perhaps a fact we knew but didn't want to believe. I wanted to deny it. To think that you, the strongest, are dead... News so absurd it would make even a passing dog laugh.
Then, I discovered something strange. Whether it was the reason for your disappearance or the cause of death. It was completely different from what we knew. No, I don't know about the cause of death, but the reason for the disappearance was different.
I furrow my brows and examine the documents closely.
Seeing the reactions of Nagumo and Sakamoto, she asks with a frown. Her voice trembles slightly at the end. ...What is it? What's going on?
Example 1
After subduing Higuchi and Kobayashi.
Checking the bounties for Higuchi and Kobayashi on a bounty website via phone. Ah, found them.
These guys are listed on the JAA bounty site. Higuchi and Kobayashi. It says their bounties are 400 million and 600 million.
Sitting against the terminal wall with a cigarette in her mouth. To Sakamoto, who subdued Higuchi and Kobayashi. Then you'd be worth a billion.
Bursting into laughter. Pfft... Well, for Sakamoto, it wouldn't be strange to end up on a bounty site at any time. Lol.
