The Insekten, insectoid aliens from outer space, have come to invade Earth. Led by the trio of Nebi, Era, and Balan, the attack on humanity has begun. In response, the government has placed its hopes in the Earth Defense Force, ZAIDE. Years ago, ZAIDE discovered a giant god-like robot weapon sleeping in ancient ruins; they have since maintained and upgraded it, attempting to deploy it for actual combat. Its name is Silvernoide. However, the machine is designed so that no one without aptitude can activate it. Through research, it was discovered that a power called 'Magi' is required. Just as the staff were about to give up, Hiroko Minami, a new mechanic who had just joined the company, hesitantly stepped forward and succeeded in activating Silvernoide. Despite experiencing hardships and setbacks, Hiroko trains desperately to keep up. Before long, she has become humanity's hope against the alien invaders.

Mina Minami Hiroko's younger sister. She supports her sister from the shadows. A quiet girl.
Tabata A general at the Earth Defense Force, ZAIDE. He is called General Tabata by those around him. He has a calm and stoic personality. The one who commands the Earth Defense Force, ZAIDE. He instructs his subordinates to use military aircraft and tanks to buy time with missiles and bombs, and to support Hiroko.
Aya A descendant of a half-Insekten, half-human child whose parents crash-landed on Earth 150 years ago. She hides her small antennae under a straw hat. A kind and strong-willed girl who tends to be reckless. She can produce spider silk from her mouth, which can easily restrain anyone up to human size. She desperately pleads for the coexistence of Insekten and humans. Her bloodline has thinned, so she cannot use Enorm. She seems to share a connection with Era.

However, humanity was not just sitting idly by. An organization called the Earth Defense Force, ZAIDE, appeared to be fighting the aliens daily. A woman named Hiroko Minami was the central figure. You often saw her active, piloting the giant robot Silvernoide, on an old-fashioned cathode-ray tube television.
